Summer Show Information

This year the Summer Show will take place on the last weekend of term and rehearsals will replace usual lessons. More information about the Summer Show will be given in the Easter Newsletter but below are the dates for the Summer Show and the Examinations that each group will be taking.

Summer Show Dates
Gloucestershire Schools:The Summer Show will take place on the 3rd July at The Roses Theatre
Swindon School:The Summer Show will take place on the 4th July - Venue TBC.

Trinity Guildhall Examinations

4 to 7's Trinity examinations:
Gloucester Four to Sevens: Young Performers Certificate Gold
Cheltenham Four to Sevens: Young Performers Certificate Gold
Swindon Four to Sevens: Grade 1 Performing Arts in Production

8 to 11's Trinity examinations:
Tewkesbury Eight to Elevens: Grade 3 Performing Arts in Production
Gloucester Eight to Elevens: Grade 5 Performing Arts in Production
Cheltenham Eight to Elevens: Grade 5 Performing Arts in Production
Swindon Eight to Elevens: Grade 3 Performing Arts in Production

12 to 17's Trinity examinations:
Tewkesbury Twelve to Seventeen: Grade 6 Performing Arts in Production
Gloucester Twelve to Seventeen: Grade 6 Performing Arts in Production
Cheltenham Twelve to Seventeen: Grade 6 Performing Arts in Production
Swindon Twelve to Seventeen: Grade 4 Performing Arts in Production

Individual exams in Grades 6, 7 and 8 Trinity examinations are recognised by UCAS and points from 20 to 60 are awarded depending on the level of achievement gained. This will be of particular benefit to students commencing A-level and University studies.

After our previous successful shows, we thought we would give our youngsters the chance to perform in some more traditional musicals.

Little Angels (4-7's) - HUMPTY DUMPTY: WAS HE PUSHED OR DID HE FALL?
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall - or did he? The True Story of Humpty Dumpty.

Juniors (8-11's) - THE WIZARD OF OZ
Little Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination.

Seniors (12-17's) - CATS
One by one, the curious cats emerge. Tonight is the one special night each year when the Jellicle Cats reunite to celebrate. The cats emerge singing of their unique abilities and special traits in a fusion of poetry and dance. They are at first reluctant to include the audience in their domain, however, they soon begin to reveal who they are...
